Medical Problems / Senior Pets
Grooming can be stressful especially for a senior, anxious, or ill pet. This can expose hidden medical problems or trigger a current issue during or after the groom. Owners MUST notify Alyssa of any known issues. It is a priority to deliver a grooming that is as stress-free as possible, so dogs will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort over looks. In the best interest of your pet, this contract/agreement will give 4LeggedSense LLC. DogsbyAlyssa, permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary. It is agreed that any expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the
pet’s owner upon booking appointments.

Pet Illness
If your pet is displaying ANY symptoms of a communicable illness (coughing, diarrhea, fever) prior to an appointment, we ask that you reschedule your grooming appointment and seek veterinary care. If Alyssa sees any of these symptoms at the time of arrival, the appointment will be canceled. This is a courtesy to other pets in our care as well as yours (pets do not want to be groomed if they feel ill).

Flea & Ticks
4LeggedSense LLC. DogsbyAlyssa does NOT work with pets that have fleas or ticks. Owners MUST notify me if they are aware of any fleas or ticks so we can reschedule the appointment. If they are found on your dog, Alyssa will not continue the service.

Injury
While accidents are rare, there is always a risk while working with pets and grooming tools. Our tools are sharp and although we use extreme caution in all situations, possible risks including nicks, cuts, scratches and quickening of nails can occur. In a circumstance where an injury occurs, you will be immediately notified and we will proceed accordingly.

Cancellations / Rescheduling
4LeggedSense LLC. requires at least 24 hours notice for rescheduled and canceled appointments. Any appointments that are canceled within less than 24 hours notice, or no-shows, will be charged a $40 fee and $40 booking fee for the following appointment.

Communication
Being a mobile business, it is important you are able to communicate through text/call for notifications about your pets appointment. It is required you confirm your appointment the morning of, to prevent any no-show fees. A no-show fee will be added to your appointment if there is no response to text/call 15 minutes after arrival. Alyssa will not ring/knock on your door upon arrival, this is to prevent disrupting other members or animals of the household.

Doodle Agreement
In order to be able to schedule your doodle with Alyssa, pet parents must already have the doodle on a routine grooming schedule (4-6 weeks) OR will commit to a future routine grooming schedule with Alyssa. Doodle coats require high maintenance, not being on a routine schedule can result in tangles, matting, shaving, hot spots, dry skin, dandruff, and much more skin and coat conditions.

Aggressive Pets
If your pet has been sent home from a groomer’s salon, bitten someone (or tried too), or has been told they need to be sedated to be groomed, you MUST sign up for the Groom & Train lesson before scheduling for a full grooming service. If your dog shows any aggressive behavior during the groom, this will be communicated to the pet parent and Groom & Train Lesson will be required before being able to book the next grooming appointment.

Payment
Payment is due when services are rendered. Clients are able to pay debit/credit card (+2%), Zelle, cash or check.
